The evening includes a barber shop quartet dancing act fashion show tumbling acts and more with several local players named in the cast.
Myers and Myers announce the purchase of the Fourth and Spruce corner housing the post office area from Jem Gurney. Transfer to new owners set for April 1. The deal appears for investment and potential store expansion, with the Gurneys planning to remain in Myrtle Point for now.
The Bucks of Myrtle Point will play the Chocolate Co-Eds at the high school gym tonight starting at 8 00 oclock. The team, described as colored world champion basketball artists, includes a player seven feet tall.

Ivan C. Laird of Coquille launches a bid for the Legislature as chair of the Laird for the Legislature committee. A Sitkum native born 1904, he served in the Marine Corps in World War I, is married, and has two children.
Mrs. Hollis Mast will teach two 10 week sewing courses at the high school under Oregon State Vocational Education funding. Classes meet Thursday evenings 7:00 to 10:00 with 12 seats. a tailoring class starts Tuesday March 21. Registration costs 4 50, due at first meeting, and priority is given to those on a waiting list. Reservations via Mrs. Evernden at the high school or her home hours.
Myrtle Point FFA competed Feb 18 in Roseburg with 12 contests from Grants Pass Roseburg Cottage Grove and Myrtle Point. Winners include Vance Carleon first year in speaking the Sand Problem top three finishers honors for Hog calling treasurer book secretary book greenhand and culture math. Tom Forrest Jr won soldering and Dick Southmayd acetylene welding with Frank Crook electric welding. The chapter earned 12 ribbons.

The living room blackface play features Pendleton Peppercorn’s house and characters Pendleton Peppercorn David Lodestein Priscila Ann Arlene Evans Pamela Jane Elaine Hall Polly Lucretia Pat Reed Augustus Tyler Dick Briggs.
