Past Matron Elgin Chapter Leader Dies of Stroke
Henrietta Davis wife of Otto Davis died from cerebral hemorrhage after collapsing in the Marshfield city hall vestibule Friday night. Born in Nova Scotia Sept 1 1900 she moved from Coquille area to Myrtle Point then Marshfield. A longtime member and past matron of the Eastern Star Elgin Chapter, she leaves two daughters and a husband. Funeral services were held at Schroeder Funeral Home with burial in Coquille.

Myrtle Point Club Hosts Successful Entertainment Night
The Myrtle Point club held a Friday evening entertainment with orchestra pieces by Pee Wee and Hus Ranch Hands of Coquille, shadow readings, duets by Betty and Patty Druliner with Madge Nelson at piano, and various solos and guitar performances. Winners Marianna Steele and Leon Warming received a cake for the waltz contest.

Injury at Bridge Schoolhouse Leaves Culver Boy Bruised Eye

Tractors and other farm equipment will be demonstrated Friday afternoon February 24 at the Bill Williams farm one half mile south of Myrtle Point on the Reedsford road. The field test will start promptly at 1 30. Ellis EB Shull local distributor for Allis Chalmers will be in charge with a Eugene office representative assisting. Three tractors and several types of plows and discs will be shown in operation.
