At Myrtle Point Saturday the Coos County Fair Board re elected E L Clausen as head. Vice President Sam Dement and Secretary Manager Mareld Clarne were noted along with treasurer Nerwoed Browne. A 138 share vote by proxy accompanied 45 present. Jess Clinton, an 18 year member, tendered resignation while all other board members were reelected.

County Fair Posts Strong 1948 Cash Results
The Coos County Fair association reports a four day show ending with total costs 34550.78 and receipts 26726.16 leaving cash on hand 2175.38. With cash on hand Feb 1 1848 state taxes 1411.19 and pari mutuel funds 12046.50 the fair achieved one of the county’s best events. The financial statement by public accountant Ernest E Detletsen was presented at the regular fair board meeting.

All Sportsmen Urged to Attend Feb 14 Meeting
