Organized testing of dairy herds under a new federal cooperative plan to eradicate Bang's disease will begin within days. Dr W V Glowyer of Coquille will conduct tests with assistance from Dr J Bennett, funded by the Jones Connell appropriation. The Oregon program, led by Dr Sam Foster of the Federal Bureau of Animal Industry, partners with the college extension service to test cows at no cost to farmers with indemnities for reactors.

Relatives were called Tuesday to the bedside of Alfred Schroeder in Coquille.
