Powers Man Slips, Is Severely Hurt In Train Mishap
Curtis Winger, 29, of Powers, was seriously injured in a railroad yard accident aboard a Coos Bay Timber Co. train. While pulling a coupling pin he fell under the wheels, his right leg crushed and portions amputated. He was taken to Mast hospital and is expected to stay at least a month. He is father to five children.
