Frank May Died From Tractor Crash In Oregon

Word has been received that Frank May age 52 formerly of Myrtle Point and now of Condon Oregon died in a hospital there last Wednesday from injuries after a tractor was struck by a locomotive Funeral services were held last Saturday Survivors include his widow Alice of Condon two daughters and a son Frank Jr in the service Mr May was a resident here and worked for Wallace Dement's stock ranch.

Christmas Program at Presbyterian Church Sunday

The First Presbyterian Sunday school will present a Christmas program this Sunday evening at 7:00. Children of all ages from nursery up will participate in an orig inal, Christ centered program. Afterward the usual Sunday school treat will be served and the new church addition will be open for viewing.

Bridge Community Church Presents Xmas Cantata

Bridge Community Church sponsors a Christmas cantata in the school gymnasium next Sunday evening at 8 o clock. The program features a 14 voice choir and a 26 member pantomime cast acting out the Christmas story in harmony with the music. Sportsmen Push Petition to Close Coastal Streams in Oregon

At a Monday meeting the Oregon sportsmen's club voted to join statewide efforts to obtain 37 000 signatures to place a ballot measure closing all coastal streams to commercial fishing except the Columbia river. Tom Forest outlined the plan and county organizers and officers were elected including Jo Sayer as president and Harold Watzling as secretary.
