Two Myrtle Point anglers tied for third as the derby runs weekly through January with three grand prizes and weekly awards.

The church fellowship elected officers at a Presbyterian meeting led by Dr A Theodore Saith. Russell was named president Rev Mohr of the Assembly of God vice president and Mrs O H Clas ey treasurer. They call for clothing donations and Christmas baskets for families in need, requesting items be taken to city hall by December 20 for sorting by the committee. Mountain States Power Co has offered salvaged poles for the project.

Walt Crim was elected president at a Monday meeting of the Point Sportsmen's Club held in city hall. Henry was named vice president with Clareste as secretary. The club plans a free turkey shoot next Sunday December 17 starting at 10 a.m. at the club trap-shoot grounds one mile northeast of Myrtle Point on the Gravel Ford road.
