Oregon to Open Bids for Coos Bay Road Section

The Oregon State Highway Commission will open bids December 9 1960 for 3.8 miles of grading 3.1 miles of oiling and the Sugarloaf Mountain King Creek segment of the Coos Bay Roseburg Highway between Indian Creek and King Creek near Myrtle Point. A dry wearing 24 foot wide surface with gravel shoulders will carry traffic until paving contracts are let. The project aims to improve the grade reduce sharp curves and follow the present alignment with future asphalt paving planned for the travel way and shoulders.
