Lectures at Coos Bay Library Explore Black Power and Art

Former Powers Man Victim of Plane Crash

Harold Clark, a logging contractor from Susanville, is presumed dead after a plane incident between Redding and Susanville on November 21. A long search by Civil Recovery from Hamilton Field and local residents failed to locate the wreckage due to snow and poor weather. Clark leaves a wife Elaine La Clair and three children. his father George Clark and son Jasper assist in the ongoing area search.

Annual PEO Christmas Tour Set for Coos Bay Area Homes

The &h Annual PEO Christmas Tour runs Saturday December 7 from 1 to 6 pm with visits to the Bergen home 1724 N 14th Coos Bay Williams home 1010 Hemlock Coos Bay and the Coos Bay Library Auditorium. Fred Gross Elected President of Western Oregon Livestock Assn

Myrtle Point rancher Fred Gross was elected president of the Western Oregon Livestock Association at the November 22 Roseburg meeting. He has long been active in the group, previously serving as vice president and on the executive board. The association represents beef sheep and swine producers across 15 western Oregon counties and has over 1600 members.
