Popular Couple Wed Thursday in North Bend

Vernon Davis and Thelma Lewis tied the knot at a North Bend Methodist venue with Rev Harry E Rarey officiating on Thursday August 8 1983. Attendants were Mrs Clifford Lewis and the bride’s brother and sister in law. Mrs Davis formerly of Champaign and Mr Davis formerly of North Bend have relocated to North Bend area apartments as they begin their married life.

Scouts to Celebrate Winter Camp at Odell Lake Summit Lodge

Local Boy Scouts announce the sixth annual winter camp at Summit Lodge Odell Lake California with elevation 4788 feet. Program features winter sports including cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Transportation by Southern Pacific special leaves Eugene December 20 at 12 noon returns December 24 at 4 15 pm. Lodging meals and transport priced at 3.83 dollars. Fair Awards Noted At Myrtle Point Exhibition

District fair honors awarded for textiles and crafts. Myrtle Point entries led in cotton and silk fabrics, pillows, quilts, crochet and hooked rugs, hand tied comforts, purses, handkerchiefs, embroidered pieces, landscapes, crayon works, photography, and a large display of Crayon and ink pieces. Myrtle Grange Plans Christmas Program and Jubilee

Myrtle Grange met Tuesday evening with Master Frank Southmayd. Mrs Roy Robison outlined plans for the annual Christmas program on December 17. The grange jubilee will be held Saturday in Quilite with the fifth degree, and the county installation will occur soon in Myrtle Print.
