Worker Killed in Logging Camp Near Empire

Funeral for Keith Laird Draws Large Local Crowd
A large crowd attended the Keith Laird funeral at Schroeder undertaking last Thursday morning. The 18 year old died Tuesday from injuries in the woods. Local high school students showed strong attendance and Elder Bronson and Elder Savage led services with Rev Ostrander assisting. A cousin from Portland and a quartet performed hymns before the casket was moved to Dora Cemetery for a short service.
