Mr and Mrs Thomas E Dickson marked their 50 years of marriage with a Sunday noon dinner at their granddaughter s home in Coquille a three tier cake hosted by Mrs W Winkie They later received gifts from old friends at the Dickson home in Myrtle Point The couple lived nearly 40 years in the same house and spent a year apart during World War I Dickson born in Tipton Indiana and moved west in 1888 Mrs Dickson born near Marshfield spent her life in the county They have two children a son in Clovis New Mexico a daughter in Los Angeles two grandchildren and two great grandchildren They helped build many local structures and have a large circle of friends In Junction City Mr and Mrs Frank Culver and family visited Bridge area before returning to farm near Junction City They moved from Rock Creek near Bridge last May accompanied by Miss Edna Price of Eugene

Large Dairy Farm and Related Real Estate Trades Reported
One of the region's largest recent real estate deals involved the 440 acre Reed dairy and sheep farm on South Foxr sold to Reuben W Mattson of Broad Bent and his brother Carl B Mattson of Marshfield. The purchase includes 40 dairy cows, three houses, three barns, 200 sheep and all personal property. The Reeds plan to move to the W W Baynes house on South 6th Street after selling their current property. Mattson will occupy the Reed place once Harvey Smith moves to the old Bennett farm near Gravelford. Other local deals were handled by E C Roberts Realty, including the Evans residence on the hill sold to the Linnsons of Agness, and the Lacases taking the Evans house. Elmer J Wicke sold his house and ground to Mrs. Cora Smeader, who moved here recently, while the Wicks purchased a new home on Cedar Street from George P Stewart and plan to move.

Funeral services were held at 1 30 pm at Schroeder chapel for Mrs Mary Belle Bennett 86 who died at Mast hospital after a stroke She lived in Coos county since 1880 and survived by two sons a daughter a brother two sisters five grandchildren and four great grandchildren The service was conducted by Rev Harold Streaver and burial followed in Dora cemetery amid pioneer memories
