Four prospectors and four teachers in the Klamath National Forest were fined for fire law violations. An 18 cow herd owned by Charles McCulloch of Haynes led Oregon in June milk per cow, joining several cows on the honor roll. Fire Threatens Logging Camp Near Roland Creek

D Ray of Coos County Gun Club won the doubles championship of the world at the Pacific International trapshoot at Del Monte last week. Fined For Selling Salmon Without License At Myrtle Point
W J Thomas of Millington was arrested July 28 near Myrtle Point for selling salmon without a license. State police Sergeant Tearing and officer Bert Pearson brought him before the justice court, where he pled guilty and was fined $50 plus costs. Unable to pay, he was jailed. About 200 pounds of salmon were confiscated and distributed to the needy.

Narrow Escape In Car Truck Collision Near Gaylord Broadbent
Three youths escaped injury when a light truck owned by Mike MacDaniels and driven by his son Gordon, with Virgil and Eugene Daniels as passengers, was forced off a highway between Gaylord and Broadbent by a touring car. The truck rolled one and a half times, struck a stump, bending a fender but suffering no other damage. The touring car left the scene after the incident, its occupants shaken but unharmed.
