Myrtle Point Bobcats Shine At Douglas Invitational Meet
Myrtle Point tracksters performed well at the Douglas Invitational, setting two school records. Senior Steve Crosby broke the varsity shot put record with 50 feet 11.5 inches and Delton Dumbe set a freshmen pole vault mark of 11 feet 6 inches. Crosby placed second in varsity shot put, Dumbe won junior varsity vault, and other Bobcat athletes posted notable marks across events.

Bobcats Sail Past Gold Beach Stuslaw in Doubleheader Wins
Myrtle Point High School baseball won three straight, beating Gold Beach 4-0 behind Steve Rayevich one hitter and two hits by Rayevich Gardner and Walker. In the second game Myrtle Point edged Stuslaw 4-2 with Maurice Weekly two for two including a double and Walker one for one.
