J P Stinson, longtime Myrtle Point resident now in Des Plaines California, demonstrated that bobcats can be killed with a car rather than a rifle. He applied for a bounty of four county dollars and two hundred fifty dollars from the state while driving from Coquille toward Redwoods.

Woman Resident Mable O'Sullivan Taken By Death
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Mable O'Sullivan at 10 a m Wednesday in the Catholic church. She died Sunday at Mast hospital after a long illness. Interment followed in Norway Cemetery. Born October 30, 1896 in Elmira Kansas, she was survived by husband John B O'Sullivan a daughter Mrs Lillie Kaney and two sons John B and Jermin all of Myrtle Point. Pallbearers were George Glenn Harold Sheppard Jack Arnold Floyd Ross Harold Watzling and Ray Oherling.

Pioneer Woman Resident Dies in Coos County
Mrs. Sarah Bright 8% pioneer resident of Coos county died at her son in law J G Childsike home. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Gravel Ford cemetery with Rev. Philip Ryan officiating. She came from Kentucky in a covered wagon and belonged to the Calbertaon family. Surviving are seven children including Mrs J L Child of Coquille and John Bright of San Jose, a brother Lee Culbertson of Santa Rosa, and a sister Mrs Koller of McKinley.
