Leon F Czolgosz alias Fred Nieman was found guilty of murder in the first degree by a New York jury in the McKinley assassination trial. The eight hour, two day proceeding led to a swift verdict after expert sanity tests deemed him sane. Justice Whits set sentencing for Thursday at 2 pm.
