Farm animals to be shown at Exposition in Oregon exhibit
Oregon Building at the Panama-Pacific Exposition announces a two month livestock showcase from October 1 to November 28. Horses, cattle, sheep, goats, swine, poultry and pets will be exhibited with substantial prize money and trophies from breed associations and state commissions totaling about 440 557 dollars. Teddy Baxter Found Dead In Marshfield Home
Geo E Baxter known as Ted Baxter was found dead with a self inflicted rifle wound in his Marshfield room on Commercial Avenue. He had moved from Coquille after 12 years in the liquor business and left behind his mother Mrs Linnie Baxter, sister Mrs James Laird, and brothers Sal and Charles Baxter. His death is attributed to despondency over a five year separation from his wife. He was born March 3 1874 in Fair Haven California and was 41.

Road Work Progressing in Middle Fork District
Supervisor P. W. Laird reports active crews regrading and surfacing the Middle Fork road from Chandler place to Garret ranch with nine foot wide water bound macadam.
