Oregon law powers private game reserves to curb fires
The Oregon State Game Warden may contract landowners into private game reserves where hunting is banned. Such reserves cost landowners nothing and may protect crops and stock while allowing limited varmints control by permit. The system could reduce forest fire risk and help farmers. it also enforces trespass limits. Additionally, local rail and electric-line projects are discussed with speculation on Hill and S P routes toward Coos Bay and the coast.
