Rev Thomas Barklow officiated at the marriage of Isaac M Weekly and Catharine Widby last Sunday at the Widby home in Myrtle Grove before relatives. The ceremony followed a decorated setting and a dainty wedding dinner. The couple will reside near North Fork. Barklow noted his role in many weddings and his strict Dunkard faith guiding him not to marry divorced partners.

Dairymen Urged to Clean and Whitewash Cattle Barns
The Dairy Inspector urges Coquille Valley dairymen to clean stalls and barns and whitewash interiors. Rules require eight hundred cubic feet air per cow and at least ten feet between facing cows, with proper ventilation and healthful conditions. David Stone born in Nichols County Kentucky on March 18 184 and died near Myrtle Point Oregon October 6 1908 aged 66 years 6 months 18 days Survived by eight daughters and two sons including Mrs Manley Barklow Myrtle Point Mrs DI Stove Boise Idaho and Miss Esue Stone Myrtle Point and sons Elmer and John Bone Myrtle Point Five other children six siblings and one sister Cardwell of Washington He lived as a consistent Christian church member and spent much of his life across Missouri Texas Oregon and Idaho The Caguille Herald notes his death recorded at Fishtrap and Bandon Oregon with family roots in several states.

Fell With Scaffold Captain Reed Dies at 81
Captain Oloff Reed, nearly 81, died after a scaffold he was repairing collapsed at his Norway home. The 20 foot tall structure gave way and caused brain concussion, Dr Leep said. Funeral held Monday at Norway cemetery with Rev Thor Barklow officiating. Reed remembered as former sea captain and river pilot. He left a general store venture with O Neleon and helped build the river boat Ceres and Annie on the Myrtle Point to Bandon run. Survivors include brother Capt Hansen Reed and sisters Mrs Ohman and Mrs Hall. He lived with Mr and Mrs S L Lafferty.
