Mrs. S. E. Melton Dies After Illness at 53

Sarah E. Melton Ray, sister of Cal and Lee Ray, died October 11 1917 in Myrtle Point Oregon after months of illness following an Idaho operation. She was born May 7 1864 in Mercer county Missouri and married Eli F. Melton in 1881. The family lived in Decatur county Kansas Nebraska Idaho and Oregon. Surviving children include Jesse Archie Hazard Orpha Charles Bertha Ethel Gladys Elpha with elder siblings present. services led by Elder Thos Barklow at Norway Cemetery.
