Faculty and student managers formed the County High School Association in Coquille to set the 1912 18 schedule. A. T. Park presides with C. H. Giles as vice president and C. A. Howard as secretary treasurer. Football opens Myrtle Point at Coquille. Debating contest set for June 17 1912 with immigration tests debate. Track meet to be held at Marshfield next May with date to be announced.

Roosevelt Shot In Milwaukee Attempt To Kill Ex President

Theodore Roosevelt was shot and wounded by John Schrank in Milwaukee Wisconsin as he left a hotel for a campaign speech. The would be assassin was seized and Roosevelt spoke before doctors. he was moved to Mercy hospital in Chicago for treatment with doctors noting danger of infection and a potential rapid recovery if no pus appears by Friday.

Grocery Changes Hands in Spruce Street Store Deal

L. W. Walls and Son who opened a Spruce Street grocery in the Seaman building and expanded their stock last year sold the stock and business to Cooley and Farleigh of Ashland. The buyers have been in the county a few months and have spent much time at Bandon.

Some Dandy Apples from Brother in Oregon Delight Borough Lady

Mrs. Amos Kresge of South Bradley Street received apples and roses from her brother J. H. Barton now living in Myrtle Point Oregon. The apples weigh about one pound six ounces and measure fifteen inches in circumference. Barton formerly lived at Lloyd Pa and is well known in DuBois.

Zumwalt and Chandler Wed in Curry County Ceremony

John H. Zumwalt of Sixes Curry County and Miss Calls D Chandler were married at high noon yesterday at the bride’s home with Rev. Thos Barklow officiating in the presence of relatives and a few guests. The couple will live on the groom’s ranch in Curry County.

The group urged permanent road plans with a concrete 16 foot wide pavement and set October 20 in Coquille for the next gathering inviting all interested citizens.
