Local Myrtle Point Merchants Wed in San Francisco

Mr J Machado and Mrs Mary Morris, prominent local merchants, were married Sunday February 2 at the home of Mr and Mrs Frank Pepper in San Francisco. Justice J G Smith officiated in a parlor decorated with roses carnations and other flowers. After a wedding lunch the couple left for a California honeymoon and plan to reside in Myrtle Point soon.

Coos County High School Teachers Association Formed

A meeting of Coos county superintendents and teachers is set in Coquille tomorrow to finalize the Coos County High School Teachers Association. Officers include A G Raab North Bend president Supt Hackett Coquille vice president J Grubbs North Bend secretary and Supt Tiedgen Marshfield treasurer. The group will set rules for athletic oratorical and debating contests. Notable requirements ban tobacco use by contestants and demand minimum average percentages in at least three studies. Prof Wimberly is on the oratorical contests committee.
