L G Simmons of Ashland, visiting Coos County relatives, admires Coos County’s land and crops. He notes apples at five to ten cents a box would fetch two to two fifty elsewhere and contrasts irrigation, soil, and potato quality with Ashland. He cites hopeful tourism from the East and mentions township blueprints and a government-abstractor notice in Roseburg.
