Change in Ownership of Coos Bay Telephone Company

Coos Bay Home Telephone Co. has purchased holdings from the Pacific States Co. in Coos and Curry counties including Marshfield Coquille and Mile Point. W. A. Douglas serves as president with R. T. Durrett as vice president and general manager and Wm Mills as secretary. Directors include O. B. Hinsdale Dr. E. Mingus George D. Maneigo J. V. Pugh and others. The new owners aim to begin system improvements promptly.

Bandon Steamer Strikes Tillamook Bar and Becomes Beachbound

The steamer Bandon struck the Tillamook bar and suffered a hole in its hull but returned to the bay and was beached on mud flats for repairs. The town reports a new veneer plant at Bandon started full capacity with ten workers and strong order flow.
