Services last Lord's day evening were well attended and all enjoyed Bro. Allison's singing. Catching Creek services were rained out and moved to Sunday May 31 at 2 pm. Bro. Logs for Panama Pacific Exposition Load on Adeline Smith
The C. A. Smith Company donates four logs for the Oregon Pavilion at the Panama-Pacific Exposition. The logs measure forty five feet long and five feet in diameter at the small end, two fir and two cedar. The Adeline Smith carried four similar logs earlier from Simpson Series Company. E A Wheelock, new general manager, and his wife will tour the Bay aboard the Adeline Smith this evening. J E Oren, former A Smith manager, reports busy times with his cabinet mill at Bay Point and two retail yards in Concord and Lafette.

Remains of Mrs Sam Johnson Return for Burial in Myrtle Point
The body of Angeline Payton Morris Johnson died May 18 1914 in Salem Oregon was sent to Myrtle Point Friday with her son M N Johnson of North Yakima Washington. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Brethren church conducted by Rev Thos Barklow and she is buried beside her son Frank in Myrtle Point cemetery. She was born June 6 1837 in Crawford county Missouri and married Samuel Johnson in 1856.

The obituary notes Mrs Johnson lived on the South Fork of the Coquille and was mother to ten children, six of whom with her husband survive. She joined the M E church early, remained with that denomination until around 1896, then joined the Seventh Day Adventist church.

Religious services mark dedication of Reed barn in Coos county
In Coos county a crowd gathered for the 54 by 65 foot Reed barn dedication last Sunday despite rain. Rev. G Leroy Hall preached after Sunday school with song and fellowship while neighbors served dinner along the full length of the long table. Baptismal services followed at Hermann schoolhouse with meetings Monday and Tuesday evenings.
