City Council Passes Liquor Ordinance
The city council with all members present approved by two to four votes a liquor ordinance aligned with the charter amendment from the Spring election. The rule limits possession to one gallon of intoxicants, five gallons for registered druggists or sacraments, and applies to city sidewalks and property owners along Ash street seeking sidewalks and grading improvements. A 6 to 1 vote supported a resolution not protesting a rate increase by Coquills Valley Telephone Company. The council ordered 100 blank bonds for the Bancroft Bonding Act and set a May 24 meeting to review bids for Becket property improvements.
