F S Dow a Marshfield commission merchant and leading Coos Bay business figure, ended his life by jumping from Ocean Dock into the bay. A note to Auditor Allen and three other letters were found. inquest returned death by drowning amid personal crisis and temporary mental aberration. Dow founded a major wholesale produce business and held posts with several San Francisco firms. He was born May 27, 1870, married Emma Diment in 1895, and leaves three children. Funeral Sunday at the family home. body to be shipped to National City, California.

G Fist John Gribble aged 53 died in Bandon Oregon after a week of pneumonia. He was born November 17 1861 in Slackams County and lived in Coos County since 1873. He worked in furniture and box manufacturing in Coquille and later moved to Mexico before returning to Oregon. He leaves six sons Albert John Frank Joseph Arthur Donald and a daughter Mrs J Smith. Funeral services were held in Coquille and burial planned at Bancroft Cemetery with a large local attendance. Burial today planned at Bancroft Cemetery. Corvallis Odd Fellows plan a three story temple.

Postponed Myrtle Point Cannery Stockholders Meeting
