The Beaver State hosts famed archery bows crafted by Captain F S Barnes from Pacific Yew in Oregon. Though nearing 70, Barnes remains a skilled archer and travels yearly to mountains to choose high grade yew. Bows named Cyclone and Whirlwind symbolize rare accuracy and speed sought by archers.

R H Mast announces Farmers and Merchants Bank of Coquille will open Monday pending supplies. Incorporated two years ago, it resumes after prior crisis, with capital of 25000 held by locals. R S Knowlton is president, G A Robinson vp, R H Mast cashier. Directors include Knowlton, Geo A, Mast, E E Johnson and C Belloni. Temporary quarters in Lidgeve building with old Leneve vault.
One of the last acts of the Idaho legislature was the passage of a measure opening the way for state aided railways along lines proposed by Oregon lawmakers. The proposal announced in Boise includes a Boise–Gooding railway line to be built with state assistance.

Timothy Billings of Baral Oregon files final five year proof to establish a land claim in section 8 block 82 south range 82 east, Blasebu oremon district. Delroy Pareet and ENJAM EDDY are listed as witnesses. The hearing before the Oregon Register and Receiver is set for March 10.
