Lundy Letter Reveals Yukon Mines Trip Details

A letter received by W. Lundy of Haulers and Lundy recounts his son W. E. Lundy’s winter mining expedition near Dinsco City in the Yukomabovs region. The message notes the journey’s surprisingly prompt arrival and mentions a furrow of drifting and a plan to visit an offrado area a mile away for a dinner.

Drowning At Earth Fork Farm Shocks Community

Redol Schinz a prominent farmer and dairyman at Earth Fork drowned Tuesday evening at his Gravel Ford farm. His wife witnessed the tragedy as the river overran its banks and swept him from shore while attempting to save two others. Bright Hansen and Hanten aided in the search as the body was recovered. Mrs Schinz and their child mourn the loss amid community sympathy.

John Tait Sells Cattle and Oak Tree Cut for Wood

John Tait of Ceonwell precinct Lane county sold 40 head of cattle to R Moris of Salem. Animals averaged about 1100 pounds and would near 1200, netting Tait roughly 1901 dollars. A large oak tree near Mr Christio’s farm was felled for stove wood, producing 902 dollars from the first twenty cords, with sale proceeds to cover wood costs.
