Nettie Mae Miller Wood born Wedderburn Oregon March 12 1647 died Myrtle Point June 16 1916 at nineteen years three months four days. Married Wayne L Wood May 25 1915 she had been ill since marriage. Survived by husband parents three sisters a brother grandparents many relatives and friends. Funeral at Christian Church June 17 conducted by Rev E S Mace. Burial in Norway cemetery with elegiac verse.

Judge Skipworth Hands Down Favorable Decision
Marshfield June 21 The Bay Times publishes Judge Skipworth handed down a decision in the Sanford versus Pike case. The bank involved the defunct First National Bank of Roseburg with Ton Sheridan as president. Sanford, trustee for the bank, sued W E Pike of Myrtle Point to collect a note for 15000 dollars and foreclose a trust deed. Pike admitted the note but claimed he deposited 33000 as a trustee for the Kinnecutts estate and that Sheridan had agreed the bank would pay 7 percent interest. the bank denies involvement. The judge found Pike dealt with the bank and that the bank owes interest totaling nearly 20000 dollars, cancels the note and deed, and grants Pike a judgment against the bank for about 10000 dollars. Hammond represented Pike. Coshow represented Sanford.
