Farmers were busy. crowd limited to city residents and nearby towns. Gate receipts totaled 41 dollars. Harness race three heats. Warrior Gordon wins easily despite Hazel’s lame condition. Dixie beats Bill Gordon in a running race. A jockeying incident between Mrs Hunt on Teddy and Mrs Hall on Venora led to a no race ruling and all bets being voided. Mr Knight may rerun the race for a hundred dollars.

Mrs Martha Haynie died July 16 1912 at 8 pm at her brother Dr K A Leep home after illness. She leaves a husband eight children a sister and eight brothers. Funeral at the Christian Church Wednesday at 8 pm with Rev Chas L Thornton officiating. Interment Myrtle Point cemetery.
