Myrtle Point hosts its second annual Chautauqua under the Myrtle Point Chautauqua association at City Park in a yellow tent. Highlights include sermons by Rev. F. Vernon, sacred concerts by Lyric Glee Club, lectures by Andrew Johnson Gov. George Carlson, and performances by Fillion Concert Party, Venetian Band, and Alpine Yodlers as organizers hope for strong support for a third annual event in 1918.
