Townsfolk pass anti firecracker ordinance in Myrtle Point
The Myrtle Point city council met July 2 1906 in regular session to adopt Ordinance 76 prohibiting firing firecrackers or fireworks on streets alleys and public or private property within the district bounded by Railroad Ave Willow Street Flat Street and Ash Street. The measure imposes fines up to four dollars for violations with enforcement to begin immediately. Record shows routine bills approved and city officer changes including resignation of City Attorney L A Roberts.
