Draft Payment Ordered in Railroad Case and Exposition Judgment

United States Judge Gilbert Bayeneee ruled the Northern Pacific Railroad Company must pay a $4,200 draft cashed by the late Paul Schulse at a local bank before his death by his own hand. The draft on New York was stopped after Schulse diverted proceeds for personal use, with the case tried in Portland. In Chicago a separate judgment of $964,000 was entered for the World's Columbian Exposition Company against the Wheel Company, covering its share of gate receipts at the fair.
