A Falkenburg of the Woodmen of the World and president of the National Fraternal Congress died today from nervous and kidney troubles. He was brought to Los Angeles from Denver two weeks ago seeking relief at lower altitude. He helped found the order and led the Western division, with Joseph Root as head consul of the Modern Woodmen of America.
The council met February 8 1905 at 8 pm in the Recorder’s office with Mayor Buorder and council members Dickson Spires Her tabE Benson Davenport Marshal Travor Treasurer Huling Attorney Roberte and Recorder Pulford present. Minutes from January 3 10 and 16 were read and approved. A light on the southwest corner of C and Cedar was ordered installed. Cemetery reports were read and accepted. Do Dickson was authorized to procure posts paint tar and lines for corner marking of blocks. Various financial reports were read and accepted with numerous claims approved including street work cemetery matters water service and shop expenses. A motion passed to assign wheel work to the regular lat class blacksmithing on avenue at 25 per year. Adjourned 8 PM.
