Corona Wrecked Steamship Bound for Alaska

The steamship Corona leaving Seattle January 30 for southeastern Alaska ports wrecked near Lewissland at the mouth of the Skeena river. All 225 passengers were landed safely at Kennedy Inland. Loss included all freight and baggage. The 220 foot screw propeller, built in Philadelphia, had operated along the coast since 1888 and was to be reassigned after this final voyage.
