The group plans stock sales in berries and a dryer to ship to eastern markets with anticipated prices of at least four cents per pound. Roots offered at 35 dollars per thousand. emphasis on starting now to establish plantings on bottom and hill lands for large future crops.

The Oregon State Penitentiary at Salem executed four murderers on December 18 past noon after November 5 verdicts sustaining capital punishment. H E Roberts Mike Morgan Noble Faulder and Frank Garrison died by gallows or death trap within an hour, with John W Taylor commuted to life. Nearly 100 witnesses attended. Governor West absent.
