Haines Survey Shifts Headquarters Toward Myrtle Point
A. Q. Hooton reports Haines surveyors are at the Oak schoolhouse on the permanent survey and will set Myrtle Point as their headquarters while completing the survey toward Coquille River. The route appears to run south of the Middle Fork and west of the river, crossing the Coquille from the city and possibly extending toward Bandon with terminals at Bandon and Coos Bay. Myrtle Point and Coquille are urged to pursue incentives to attract the road on this side of the river.
