Pioneer Bender Laid To Rest In Myrtle Point
Edward Bender, pioneer of Myrtle Point, died after a two week illness related to asthma. He served as postmaster and justice of the peace, and was active in local lodge and band matters. Funeral services were held at the German Baptist church with Odd Fellows and Rebekah order involvement. Surviving family includes his wife and three sons, with a long record of public service and community esteem.
