Marshfield fair premiums spark broad prize plans
Farmers at Marshfield are invited to submit premium lists for the upcoming district fair in August. R C Dement cites liberal premiums across vegetables fruit grain and livestock with notable prizes such as 325 for a Gravenstein apple exhibit. Local incidents include a Coquille team defeating a Myrtle Point boys nine 18 to 16 and a Coquille shingle mill fire causing about 2000 in losses.
