The city held elections with 146 votes, the highest in memory. Mayoral winner is K A Leep with 98 votes. T E Dickson 51. Council races saw Hampton win a tie broken in his favor. McCloskey 75 and Hampton 78. Other posts include recorder, treasurer, and assessor plans.
The Odd Fellows will begin building a new hall at an estimated cost of 3000 dollars. Mr and Mrs J B Grose and Jens Gust and wife have moved from Bandon to Cottage Grove, Ore, buying a four lot home and two story residence of J C Long. The Bandon Commercial Company received a sanding machine from the steamer Chico for the broom handle factory to finish 6000 handles daily. Auction set for April 10 at 10 am offers household goods and more at Fetter house by Mrs Lara White Myrtle Point Ore with cash terms.
Dr J E Skinner the optician will be in Myrtle Point on May 8 and 9 to examine eyes. Call at the Guerin Hotel for eye tests during the visit. Weak eyed and nearsighted needs.
