U S Casualty List for Oklahoma Names Dec 20

The War department lists thirty Oklahoma casualties for publication on December 20. Died of wounds Private John T. Ferrell Tulsa. Died of other causes Private John L. Fincher Korn. Wounded severely Sergeants Pearl J. Wines Bartlesville and Wallace Saunders Henryetta. several corporals and privates from Bartlesville Weatherford Lookeba Hollis Broken Bow and other towns. County Seeks 1919 Census for Muskogee County

County commissioners adopted a resolution asking for a federal census in Muskogee County to be taken early in 1919. The county will cover all expenses, and nearby Okmulgee and Tulsa counties have recent or ongoing census efforts.

Memorial service for Muskogee soldier Andrew Lowrey

A memorial service will be held Sunday afternoon at First Presbyterian Church to honor Andrew Lowrey, one of the last Muskogee soldiers killed in the war. The service, conducted by Rev. J. K. Thompson, starts at 2:30 p.m. and recounts his October 13 death.

Cecil to Represent Britain in U S Peace Congress

London Dec 20 Lord H M Cecil who resigned as assistant foreign secretary over Welsh disestablishment may travel to the United States soon. He is said to go as a special representative of the British government to remain until the peace congress ends.

No Prospect of Cheaper Shaves in Miusko Gee

Local barber shop proprietors say prices will not drop until living costs fall to prewar levels. Before the war shaves were 16 cents and haircuts 35 cents. postwar increases brought haircuts to 40 cents, later to 25 cents as living costs rose. A labor shortage and higher wages kept prices up.
