Nyenhuis stalls council over Fulham Avenue assessment
City council spent much of its meeting debating sidewalks and street improvements. Joseph Nyenhuis tried to bargain on a $150 assessment for two Fulham Avenue lots, offering $100 or threatening a court appeal. Objections to a sidewalk on Orange Street between Eleventh and Maple were rejected, and a temporary walk plus a planned permanent Front Street walk were approved for KTNT area. Peter Tiedemann pressed for a walk on Isett Avenue from Woodlawn to Bidwell.
