Funeral services will be held in Smithville Tuesday at 8 a.m. and burial is set for Greenwood Cemetery Muscatine Wednesday with Rev Vance Webster officiating.

Arthur Heinkle, a Durant farmer, escaped a 45 foot drop and 14 foot incline when his 1927 Buick slid off a bridge embankment on a muddy hill near Muscatine. State patrol Sgt Edgar Faber and Sheriff Fred Nesper noted no guard rail and Heinkle crawled from the wreckage with minor bruises after leaving his three young children at Weed Park.
