Fire at Grain Processing plant damages air scrubber duct
Sunday evening a fire at Grain Processing Corp plant 1600 Oregon St started from overheated propane pellets in an air scrubber. The blaze spread through ductwork burning fiberglass along about 20 feet of duct. Monday morning a second fire at 1705 Meadow Lane was caused by a shorted wire in a bathroom light, damaging plastic vent pipe and a ceiling joist.
