The DeLong ruby, a 100 carat red gem among the world’s largest, was found in a Palm Beach telephone booth after a ransom paid by John D. MacArthur and aided by Francis Antel. Police had said the jewel was one of 24 stolen in a famed 1940s Miami Beach heist.
