Local notes report Miss Cora Briar's health not improving while community members travel for business and visits. Edwards and Guthrie families depart for Erie and Washington. Officials, lawyers, and civic groups, including attorney William Hoffman and AOUW deputy B Jensen, engage in travel, insurance, and civic duties as residents assist relatives and visit friends.
Dr. J D Fulliam states no diphtheria cases remain in Muscatine city today with four or five houses still under quarantine. He notes all affected individuals have recovered and emphasizes quarantine continues until the mandatory period ends for safety.
