Diamond Jo Uits All In Doges Season Ends with Dubuque Departure

The steamer Dubuque of the Diamond Jo line made its last trip of the season docking at Keokuk after unloading freight. The river trade with St. Louis ends for the season as the Dubuque, once dominant, is retired from service along with other Diamond Jo vessels. Deckhands will be sent to St. Louis and many will winter elsewhere before returning in spring.
