Judge Edward P Seeds of Manchester delivered the memorial oration at Congressional Cemetery in Washington on May 30 1902. He praised unknown and named Civil War heroes and argued for duty to support military actions in the Philippines while upholding justice.

Bessler J D slightly bruised.
Chattanooga Tennessee reports a seismic disturbance woke residents as shaking and rattling windows lasted only seconds. Officials found no property damage and classify the event as seismic in nature.
