A long-remembered poem by Ivan Tharp Dowell commemorates eighty seven men who went to Camp Dodge during World War I. The piece, saved by Mrs. William Hatfield, names several men and ponders their fates. Memorial Day prompts reflection on Dowell and others lost to history.
